This chapter starts with off with Ace complaining about Cater kicking them out of Heartslabyul for not bring a replacement tart that he ate by accident. Deuce realizes the time and tells Ace and the others it's past the call time and that they're going to be late to class. Ace, Deuce, Grim and Yuuken then attend classes from Crewel, Trein and Vargas.
After that, they have lunch at the cafeteria until they encounter Cater and Trey again, who invites them to eat with them together. Trey explains to Ace, Deuce, Grim and Yuuken about the seven dorms, making them look around the students whose armbands match their respective dorms as examples. Ace notices one of the Diasomnia members, Lilia and mistakes him for a child. However, Lilia overhears him and transports in-between him and Deuce, correcting him of his third year status. Lilia welcomes Ace to come chat with him and the other Diasomnia members anytime, but Silver and Sebek give hostile looks towards him from the distance. Before Lilia leaves, he gives Ace some licorice candies for their new friendship and heads back to Silver and Sebek. Trey and Cater talks about the Diasomnia dorm leader, Malleus Draconia and how he is one of the five best magicians in the world. Trey explains to Ace and the others about Unique Magic and how it is a special magic that characterizes for wizard's personalities. He uses Riddle's Unique Magic: "Off With Your Head!" as an example for Unique Magic. The chapter ends with Ace complaining about his dorm leader, unaware of Riddle overhearing Ace's conversation and appearing right behind him.
