Master Chef Events
Master Chef Events (known as The Culinary Crucible in the English localization) are a type of event in Twisted Wonderland that focuses on cooking. They require players to gather ingredients to prepare various dishes that fit a certain theme.
Event Cards
Unlike Battle Events and Rhythmic Events, Master Chef Events only introduces two limited SR cards each time of the same name - Apprentice Chef. The cards are available in the corresponding event summon, but one copy can be obtained from the Event Shop by purchasing the Master Chef Magical Key for 1,500 Master Chef medals.
- They are groovied using their respective Groovy Candies, and use books obtained from Alchemy to level up their Magic.
- Each Master Chef limited summon's SR pool do not contain SRs from previous Master Chef events.
Uses
Master Chef events require players to create teams to procure ingredients for cooking, and require the featured characters to be in the team. The event SRs provide increased drop rates in for Procurement and this is indicated by a pink "REWARD+" label.
- The maximum possible drop rate is 1.4x - from having included both event SR cards in the Procurement team.
- These bonuses are only applicable for the duration of the event they are featured in.
Event Story
All Master Chef events have a corresponding event story. There is usually only two episodes in this story - a Prologue and an Epilogue, and both episodes are fully voiced. Some of the dialogue are the same because these stories focus on the characters' different experiences in the Master Chef cooking elective program in Night Raven College.
The prologues feature the characters' self-introductions before they begin their Master Chef lessons. It details their motivations for participating in it. The epilogue takes place after the characters have finished learning the basics of cooking in the lessons, and they reflect on their experiences thus far.
The personal stories of event cards go into further detail on the characters' experiences preparing dishes in the kitchen, and presenting their final product to the judges.
Event Details
In general, two core parts of the gameplay are: Procurement and Cooking. When you complete the Prologue, you will get medium-quality ingredients for the first dish in the Recipe list.
Procurement
Before you can cook all the other dishes, you will need to procure ingredients first. A total of 6 locations, each with unique ingredients, are available to procure ingredients from.
Before Starting
- Check that your Card inventory has at least 1 card (any rarity) for each of the featured characters. This is because the Procure action will be disabled until you acquire cards for both of the event characters.
- If you don't have any cards for the featured event characters, you can either:
- Buy a copy of their School Uniform R cards in the Madol Shop.
- Summon for a card.
Starting Procurement
- Select a location to begin procurement.
- Set up your procure team. The first two slots are for the featured characters, while the other 3 slots are free for you to set.
- You are recommended to use the event SRs in your team.
- You can use multiple cards of the same character in the remaining three slots
- Select the time you want the procurement to take (20/60/150/360 minutes).
- In the pop-up before you begin, you can toggle notifications for completed procurement.
- When your team has finished procuring, tap "Complete Procure (調達完了)" button to collect the ingredients.
Do note that the last 2 locations in the events are usually locked until you acquire some Master Chef Medals.
- 2nd Last Location Unlock Requirement: Gather 100 Master Chef Medals
- Last Location Unlock Requirement: Gather 300 Master Chef Medals
Cooking
Cooking has several features to take note of:
- Recipes
- Skill
- Ingredient Quality
- Judging
Recipes
In each event, there are 9 dishes available for you to cook. Each dish requires different numbers of ingredients to cook. The minimum number of ingredients used is 2, and the maximum is 5. The ingredients required to cook them are hidden when you first start, and each ingredient is only revealed after you have attempted cooking the dish with the correct ingredients.
- If you use a wrong ingredient, you create charcoal, and the dish is considered a failure.
- Even then, if you have used any correct ingredient in your attempts, the correct ingredients will be revealed.
- In general, the recipes follow the dishes' real counterparts and you can search them up for hints on which ingredients are required.
- About half of the recipes will use ingredients from Locations 5 and 6, which require you to have amassed up to 300 Master Chef Medals before they unlock.
See the below table for recipes introduced in the events thus far.

Skill
Skill indicates how good you are at cooking a particular dish. When you start the event, your Skill for all dishes is 0% and you can only raise it by successfully cooking the desired dish.
Based on your dish's star rating, your Skill is raised by a fixed percentage:
- A 1-star dish raises your Skill by 4%
- A 2-star dish raises your Skill by 8%
- A 3-star dish raises your Skill by 12%.
A higher skill level raises your chances of cooking better quality dishes. You cannot cook 3-star dishes on your first attempt at cooking, even if you used all the high quality ingredients you have. On the other hand, with very high Skill Level, you can easily get more than 25 Medals per attempt even if you didn't use all of your high quality ingredients to cook.
While it is good to raise Skill Level, it is not mandatory to raise it to 100% in order to clear all of the Event Missions.
Ingredient Quality
It is generally better to use your lower quality ingredients when your Skill level is still low.
Judging
After you cook each dish, whether it's a success or failure, it gets sent to a panel of 3 judges. These judges are randomly selected from the pool of judges in each event, and they rate the dish on a 10-point scale. Depending on the judge's character and food preferences, they might be strict, reasonable, or lenient. Lenient judges such as Lilia Vanrouge give the highest scores, while the strict judges such as Jamil Viper give the lowest scores. Thus, your score will vary each round while also depending on your Skill and ingredient quality.
All failed dishes receive a score of 3 (1 from each judge). You also receive Madol for each dish you prepare, regardless of its failure or success.
