The Culinary Crucible: The Spice of Life

"The Culinary Crucible: The Spice of Life" is a Culinary Crucible Event in Twisted Wonderland that features Kalim Al-Asim and Trey Clover. It is the second cooking event in the game, requiring players to send their cards out to gather ingredients for a fixed time so that they can cook various dishes. The story consists of a prologue and epilogue which briefly explore Kalim and Trey's experiences in the cooking elective class which teaches students how to cook.

As the event's name implies, all of the dishes featured in this event are spicy. They all use a common ingredient: chili powder. Each dish, high score, skill, and recipe can be viewed in the Album, under the Culinary Crucible tab.

How to Play

1. Gather ingredients
2. Cook a dish
3. Based on the points earned for each dish, you will earn Culinary Crucible Tokens
4. Use the medals to exchange for Kalim and Trey, and unlock the epilogue for the story
5. Trade Culinary Crucible Tokens for items in the Culinary Crucible Token Shop (closes May 31, 2022, 22:59 PT)

• The required ingredients for Jalapeno and Chili Pepper Pizza are given to get you started:

  • Cheese
  • Pizza Sauce

Note: The ingredients above are sent directly to your account.

Gathering

• Select the location you would like to go to for an excursion.
• You can get different kinds of ingredients based on your selected location.
• The longer you spend on an excursion, the more ingredients you'll get.
  • Please note that you must have either Kalim or Trey cards to start the excursion.
  • R Kalim (School Uniform) and R Trey (School Uniform) are also available in Card Shop (Thaumarks).

• The following cards will grant a bonus to the number of ingredients you earn from excursions.

• Riddle and Silver's Apprentice Chef SRs do not provide this bonus.

Cooking

• Use collected ingredients to cook dishes.
• Select a dish and ingredients from the menu.
• Recipes start off hidden. Each correct ingredient used will be revealed only after cooking.
• The score of the dish you cook will be affected by the quality of ingredients.
  • If you select the wrong ingredients, the dish is considered a failure.
  • No matter if you cook the dish successfully or not, you will not regain spent ingredients.
  • The dish icons do not represent the actual recipe; the required ingredients may differ from the icons.
  • The number of stars is not determined by the total score from judges but based on the quality of ingredients and your cooking skill.
  • The order of the ingredients does not matter.

• You earn Thaumarks for each dish you cook regardless of its success or failure. The Thaumarks distributed are based on the number of ingredients used in the dish.
